Matt had an extensive business management background before joining the Health sector in 2003 as a Rural Practice Manager. Matt additionally operates IT4Doctors an IT company established to specifically meet the needs of the Health Community, and does various other consulting and training work in practices and Aboriginal Health Services. Matt has extensive experience in assisting practices obtain accreditation both as an accreditation renewal and as a new practice being accredited for the first time.

Matt is passionate about the role of Practice Managers within the Health Care setting. Matt has run many training sessions, including speaking at four Best Practice Summits, RACGP national conferences, AAPM regional, state and national training events, RDAQ state conference. Matt was invited as a panellist discussing GP clinic issues at the the joint AAPM / PMAANZ conference in Hobart in 2015.
Matt has concurrently managed multiple Medical Centres for many years, and was part owner of a clinic for six years. Immediately prior to joining Health Care Matt was a Field Based Investigations / Compliance Office for the Queensland Office of State Revenue.
Matt has lead a team of bookkeepers, and is very experienced in the use of XERO, having been an early adopter of online accounting software.
